Manohar Lal Khattar to meet Leutenant Kiran Shekhawat's family today
"We can understand the sentiments of the family and what they must be going through at this stage."

"The Chief Minister is in Gurgaon today, from where he will be going to Kurthala village in Mewat to meet the family of Lt Kiran Shekhawat and offer his condolences in person," Khattar's media adviser Amit Arya said today.
Media reports had said that Khattar had himself insisted on visiting the family in Kurthala but cancelled the visit twice this month.
"It is not that the Chief Minister did not want to visit the family to share their grief at the tragic hour. Some emergent meetings came up, which held him back. Other programmes of the CM also had to be cancelled and rescheduled. He himself wanted to go and meet the family, then there is no reason why he would have not travelled to meet them at the first opportunity," Arya said.
"We can understand the sentiments of the family and what they must be going through at this stage. Now, the family has been conveyed that CM is going to meet them today and offer his condolences," he said.
On March 29, the young officer was given a tearful adieu with people and political leaders cutting across party lines paying their homage as the body was consigned to flames with full military honours in Kurthala village in Haryana's Mewat district.
The body of Lt Kiran Shekhawat had been recovered from the fuselage of the Dornier Aircraft of the Navy which had crashed during a training sortie off the Goa coast last month.
A native of a village in Rajasthan's Jhunjhunu district, Kiran was married to Vivek Singh Chokker in Kurthala, which is located close to Gurgaon.
