Manmohan Singh weak man, says Swamy

Terming Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as "weak", Janata Party chief Subramaniam Swamy today said he remained like Bhishma in Mahabharat in the 2G spectrum scam.

NEW DELHI: Terming Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as "weak", Janata Party chief Subramaniam Swamy today said he remained like Bhishma in Mahabharat in the 2G spectrum scam.

"Yes, he played along the same way Bhishma Pitamah watched the stripping of Draupadi in Mahabharata. We don't say that he is a bad man, we just say he is weak man and he should have taken a stand. That is what Lord Krishna said about him," he told reporters outside Parliament.

The former Union Minister was asked if the Prime Minister had played along with former Telecom Minister A Raja in the 2G Spectrum scam.

"But if today PM doesn't cancel licenses and catch people who got bulk of the money, then he should be removed," he added.

He said the Prime Minister was a "weak man" and he was being fooled by the Congress leadership, including Sonia Gandhi and Pranab Mukherjee, who allowed the Spectrum scam to happen.

Demanding high-level security for Raja, Swamy said he was going to file a criminal complaint against the former Minister for his role in the scam.
