Manmohan Singh ministry expansion likely on Tuesday

Former Ministers Vilas Muttemwar and Mukul Wasnik are among others who are expected to be sworn in as ministers.

NEW DELHI: The first expansion of Union Council of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is expected to take place on Tuesday during which Congress leader Salman Khursheed and National Conference President Farooq Abdullah will be among about two dozen who may be inducted.

Former Ministers Vilas Muttemwar and Mukul Wasnik are among others who are expected to be sworn in as ministers.

The DMK, which announced last night that it would support the UPA Government from outside after talks on more ministerial berths ended in a deadlock, may join the Government on Tuesday if an understanding is arrived with the Congress by that time.
