Manish Tewari extends support to Captain Amarinder Singh

NEW DELHI: As Captain Amarinder Singh’s rebellion against state PCC chief flares up, former Union Minister and Ex-LS member from Punjab Manish Tewari has extended his support to Singh and said the party high command must give due weight to the issues raised by the former Congress CM.

“Captain Amarinder Singh is the tallest Congress leader in Punjab. He has gauged the ground situation and has articulated feelings. His opinion needs to be given the weight it deserves”, Tewari told ET. On Singh’s demand that P S Bajwa be removed, Tewari said: “The fact is there is a need to look at the present condition of the Punjab Congress Party.”
