Manish Sisodia presents Rs 69,000-crore Budget in Delhi Assembly

The budget this year is worth Rs 69,000 crore, said Sisodia, adding the state govt intends to increase per capita income to Singapore’s level by 2047.

Delhi's Deputy CM Manish Sisodia presented the state's Budget for 2021-22 in a paperless manner on Tuesday in the Delhi Legislative Assembly. The budget this year is worth Rs 69,000 crore, as per Sisodia, who added that the Delhi govt intends to increase per capita income to Singapore’s level by 2047.

The state govt plans to celebrate the 75th Independence Day by holding programmes for 75 weeks starting March 12. Sisodia called this a 'Deshbhakti Budget', announcing a Rs 10-crore allocation for programmes on Baba Saheb Ambedkar during the 75-week celebrations.

National flags on high masts will be unfurled across Delhi at 500 places.


This is Delhi's first e-budget and the session is scheduled to continue till March 16. Yesterday, Sisodia presented the fourth Status Report of Outcome Budget of the Delhi govt.
