Manish Sisodia lying and Arvind Kejriwal hardcore dishonest: BJP

BJP on Monday continued its attack on AAP, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia over corruption charges. The party also dismissed Sisodia's claim of getting an offer from BJP.

"Why would we approach someone with false intentions and frivolous thinking, to join the party," BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia told media persons in Delhi. "Kejriwal and Sisodia don't have answers to the questions raised by us and the people of Delhi."

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari challenged Sisodia to name the leader who had approached him with the offer from BJP, or present the text message that the deputy CM has claimed to have received. Tiwari said AAP and Sisodia were lying when they were facing investigation in corruption cases. During the day, the Delhi BJP organised a protest over the alleged corruption in the Delhi government's now-scrapped liquor policy.


Sisodia, whose residence was searched by the CBI on Friday, said on Monday that he would not bow down to the pressure tactics of the BJP and would fight since he was a Rajput. BJP said once the investigation got over, he would have to bow down.

"Sisodia is saying he won't bow down and Kejriwal has given him the certificate of honesty. These days, whoever in AAP gets an honesty certificate from Kejriwal goes to jail for sure," Bhatia said. "Once the investigation gets complete, Sisodia will bow down before the law and it will end their saga of corruption."

BJP also targeted Kejriwal. Bhatia said Kejriwal's silence over corruption charges proved that he was hardcore dishonest. "If he (Kejriwal) is a hardcore honest man, why is he not answering the questions being raised by us."
