Manipur: Thousands of Naga women stage sit-in protest, demand release of six men held hostage

Thousands of women from the Naga community staged sit-in protests across Naga-inhabited areas of Manipur demanding the immediate release of six Naga men allegedly held hostage by suspected Kuki militants. Protesters in Senapati, Ukhrul, Chandel, Tamenglong and Noney called for urgent intervention by the Centre and demanded stronger action against armed groups operating in the region.
