Fresh tensions have been reported in Manipur after the NDA government led by Yumnam Khemchand Singh won the floor test in the state assembly. Gunfire was reported in Churachandpur, while protests and shutdown calls intensified in Kuki-Zo-inhabited areas.Security has been stepped up amid threats to Kuki-Zo MLAs and strong opposition from community organisations.
