Opposition leader and senior Manipur People's Party (MPP) leader O Joy said today that they have decided to form a pre-poll alliance with Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Janata Dal (United).

JD (U) national president Arun Kumar Srivastava said the alliance is meant to defeat the Congress and bring a new government to help the people.

NCP Manipur unit president Radhabinod Koijam, a former chief minister, said, "the people of Manipur are not satisfied with the present government as they couldn't even solve the blocking of two national highways for more than 120 days".

MPP president Nimaichand Luwang said that people of Manipur should not be swayed by money power.
