Mangalore International Airport put on alert
The Mangalore International Airport has been put on alert as part of stepped up security across airports after the terror attack on Karachi airport.

Following the Intelligence Bureau alert, security has been tightened at the airport and surrounding areas with the deployment of 60 additional CISF personnel. A bomb detection team with four specially trained sniffer dogs is on the vigil. A separate team has been deployed at the entrance of the airport to check passengers and visitors.
Thirty-eight people, including 10 militants, were killed in last week's Karachi terror attack in which the Taliban gunmen had besieged the airport armed with rocket launchers and suicide vests.
