Man Mohan Bhanot appointed Indian Ambassador to Syria

NEW DELHI: Senior Deputy Secretary in finance division of External Affairs Ministry, Man Mohan Bhanot, has been appointed India's next ambassador to crisis-ridden Syria.

Currently Charge d'affaires of the Indian Mission in Damascus is S R Meena.

Bhanot is expected to take up his assignment shortly, the External Affairs Ministry said.
