Man held for doing recce on Abhishek Banerjee's home

Rege has been remanded to police custody till April 29.

Kolkata: The Kolkata Police on Monday arrested Rajaram Rege from Mumbai for purportedly conducting a recce around the residence and offices of Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee, a senior IPS officer said. Rege, who had allegedly met the Mumbai 26/11 terror accused David Headley, was brought to Kolkata today and produced in a local court. Rege had allegedly attempted to meet Banerjee and his PA.

Rege has been remanded to police custody till April 29.
