Man detained under NSA for supplying fake currency

The district authorities on Friday booked a man with charges under the National Security Act (NSA) for allegedly supplying fake currency.

MUZAFFARNAGAR: The district authorities on Friday booked a man with charges under the National Security Act (NSA) for allegedly supplying fake currency.

"Imran is detained under the NSA. He, along with two others, was arrested on April 12 from Shamli town and fake currency worth Rs 50,000 was seized from their possession," District Magistrate Subhash Sharma said.

During interrogation, Imran had confessed that he had supplied fake currency worth Rs 15 lakhs, he said.
