Mamata's government is worse than the Left Front government: Amit Shah

KOLKATA: Mamata Banerjee's government is worse than the Left Front government, said BJP's national president Amit Shah in the first day of his three day tour to West Bengal. Shah today visited Naxalbari, the birth place of Naxalite movement in north Bengal. Shah visited some of the houses of local workers of BJP and held meeting with the Karya Kartas.

"Earlier we had an idea that Left parties have destroyed Bengal. But now we are seeing that Mamata Banerjee's government is worse than Left Front government. They have only appeased one particular community. Bengal has been suffering for long due to this vote-bank politics," said Shah in a public meeting in Siliguri.

Calling the Trinamool Congress government as the "most corrupt" one, he said, "This is a scam-ridden party. There are so many scams like Sarada, Narada and so on. This government has a debt burden of Rs 3.50 lakh crore. This is the result of a total mismanagement and financial misrule.

Attacking the government in Bengal he further added that the state has become a safe haven for FICN smugglers and arms smugglers. "In Bengal there is no industry, apart from the cottage industry for making bombs," said Shah.
