KOLKATA: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will personally oversee relief operations for the earthquake victims at the Indo-Nepal border on Monday.

"WB CM to oversee relief operations at Indo-Nepal border on May four," the All India Trinamool Congress office tweeted today.

Soon after the quake, which severely rocked Nepal last week leaving thousands dead, Banerjee had rushed to north Bengal to gauge the damage inflicted by the tremor in the area which adjoins the Himalayan country.

North Bengal reported three deaths - one each in Jalpaiguri, Naxalbari and Siliguri.

Several injured have been admitted to the government hospital in Siliguri.
