Mamata Banerjee to felicitate 21 farmers with Mati Samman award
This year around 116 stalls of different departments of the state government have been set up from where the farmers would get opportunity to showcase.

Banerjee had initiated Mati Utsav after coming to power to promote the agriculture sector of the state. This year it will continue from January 9 for the next five days at Mati Tirtha.
The chief minister is scheduled to inaugurate Mati Utsav on Monday afternoon. This year around 116 stalls of different departments of the state government have been set up from where the farmers would get opportunity to showcase, promote and sell their produce.
Besides felicitating the farmers from different parts of the state, she would also distribute different beneficiary schemes to around 60 people. Mati Tirtha, where permanent structures have been made to hold different agriculture related programmes, has provided a platform for farmers to come across updated and be averse with modern farming technology.
