Mamata Banerjee suffers from fear-psychosis with the rise of BJP in Bengal; Rahul Sinha
KOLKATA: The BJP in West Bengal today said that Mamata Banerjee's repeated attack against the party leaving aside the main opposition Left Front showed her nervousness and she is suffering from "fear psychosis".

BJP state President Rahul Sinha today said that Trinamool Congress supremo and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was suffering from a fear-psychosis after the BJP emerged as a force to reckon within a state whose politics remained polarised between the TMC and the CPI-M.

"The rise of BJP in Bengal has left Mamata in tremendous panic as she is afraid of the saffron party. She has thus fixed BJP as her main target of attack leaving aside the main opposition Left Front," Sinha told reporters.

Sinha slammed the chief minister for attempting to brand the BJP as 'communal', saying on the contrary it was those who were openly appeasing a particular minority for vote bank consideration were 'communal'.

"We strongly condemn this. With excessive appeasement tactics for vote-bank politics, the CM herself is dividing people on communal lines, creating an environment of unrest in the state," Sinha alleged.

Sinha asserted that the LF or the CPI(M) was never her target.

"Mamata Banerjee's bonhomie with the Left parties shows that when it comes to the rise of a common adversary, the BJP, two mutual enemies with different ideologies can join hands," he said.

Saying that the state can't afford to have a government which can't deliver, Sinha said, "The BJP is now the only real alternative in Bengal. The day is not far when a BJP government in the state will be a reality."

To give her a fitting reply, Sinha said, the BJP would organise a rally on November 30 commemorating the party's "Utthan Divas" (rising day) at the same place where Mamata Banerjee organised today's July 21 rally.
