Mamata Banerjee should introspect her conduct: BJP
TC’s Derek O’Brien hit back dubbing NSA Ajit Doval as a “known RSS sympathiser” and reiterated the Burdwan blast was part of a “devious BJP master gameplan”.

NEW DELHI: The war of words over West Bengal escalated on Sunday with Trinamool terming the Burdwan blast as a “devious BJP master gameplan”, after Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said in his blog that CM Mamata Banerjee’s charges against his party was neither “responsible nor nationalistic”.
In his blog, Jaitley had expressed “disappointment” with Mamata for defending those accused in the Sharda chit fund scam instead of taking action against them, and for terming the Burdwan blasts as “stage-managed”. TC’s Derek O’Brien hit back dubbing NSA Ajit Doval as a “known RSS sympathiser” and reiterated the Burdwan blast was part of a “devious BJP master gameplan”.
BJP, which has pitched itself as a direct competitor to TC in the state long ruled by Left, said what was happening in Bengal was not just a law and order problem but a breach of national security. “Jaitley has raised an important issue and Mamata should introspect her and her party’s conduct,” SN Singh, BJP in-charge for Bengal, said. “...after Burdwan blast...TC leadership should answer whether their act has been in the interest of the nation,” Singh said asking why the state refused to let NIA probe Burdwan blast, why it didn’t allow NSG immediate access to the blast site, and why there was no probe on reports that a rocket launcher was tested at Beldanga in Murshidabad.
