Mamata Banerjee predicts 100 for BJP in 2019 elections, lists number for BJP in states

KOLKATA: Launching her campaign for general election from the stage of Martyr’s Day rally, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee lists number of seats for BJP and predicts the total number for BJP in upcoming general election. Narendra Modi’s party will get only 100 seats, maximum 150, said Banerjee addressing the mega rally of Trinamool Congress in Kolkata. “Bjp somehow managed number in Parliament, but they are outnumbered outside Parliament,” added Bengal chief minister.

“ I can tell what numbers BJP will have in states. In Tamil Nadu, Stalin will get 39 and AIADMK will get zero. In Uttar Pradesh,BJP will get maximum 30 if Mulayam Ji and Mayawati ji join hands. In Madhya Pradesh , BJP will not get more than one out of 28 seats. In Rajasthan, of 25 seats, they will not get more than five. In Gujrat, they will get zero, in Bihar, Lalu ji will eat everything and in Odhisha all seats will go to BJD. In Punjab , Captain Amarindar ji has full control. So, where they will get seats? They will be decimated .I always speak with conviction , you can trust my calculation ,” Mamata told the gathering .

Taking a dig at BJP , she further added, “The party cannot build a pandal. How can they be expected to build the nation?”


Amid loud cheers from her party workers and supporters , Banerjee said, “We will lead the way to Parliament . We will form government in Delhi. Prime Minister talks about 2024, I advise him to first handle 2019.”
