Mamata Banerjee pens poem on intolerance
Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has penned a poem on intolerance, seemingly taking a swipe at the ruling BJP and the growing incidents of hate in the country.

In the poem, which is written in Bengali, Banerjee says, "Debatarao naki eder member, tader upareo eder agradhikar"… (They claim that Gods are also their members and they have primary rights on them).
Elaborating on the issue of intolerance, she says — "grasacchadan kivabe karche kara, setao naki thik kare debe tara /sahishnuta aaj baro asahay, asahishnutai bharache dhara/ ke kaar bichar karbe, sahishnu hao dhara…" (They claim that they will decide on what people will eat and wear / tolerance feels helpless and hapless, world is filled with intolerance / who will judge whom, world please be tolerant).
Banerjee, who has a flair for writing poetry, has 53 published books in her name.
