Mamata Banerjee not fighting against opposition parties but with Election Commission, says PM Narendra Modi
"There is no difference left between the ruling party and the govt here. TMC is blatantly using the govt machinery to influence the election." PM Modi said.

Continuing his attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the Prime Minister said, she knows she will be defeated and the sense of failure provoked her to fight against the Election commission, instead of the Opposition. Advising Mamata Banerjee to take rest for five years, he added, “On the verge of defeat, Trinamool was worried as the Election Commission was looking into complaints of alleged violation of the model code of conduct by some of its leaders. They are not fighting the Opposition. They are fighting the EC. Our EC is respected all over the world. Every sportsman respects an umpire.
It’s our duty to respect the EC. Polls will come and go. But institutions have to be respected.” Modi addressed two rallies in Bengal. Lambasting the Trinamool government, he said, “There is no difference left between the ruling party and the government here. The ruling party is blatantly using the government machinery to influence the election. The election commission showcaused Mamata Banerjee, the Trinamool candidate from Bhawanipore. Why should the chief secretary of the state respond to it?”
