Mamata Banerjee in national capital today for G20 preparatory meeting called by PM Modi

During her visit from December 5-8 to the national capital, Banerjee will attend the meeting called by the PM on December 5 and visit the Ajmer Sharif dargah and Pushkar in Rajasthan on December 6, people in the know said.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will reach New Delhi on December 5 to attend a meeting called by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the preparations for the G20 Summit. India will host the next summit in New Delhi in September 2023.

During her visit from December 5-8 to the national capital, Banerjee will attend the meeting called by the PM on December 5 and visit the Ajmer Sharif dargah and Pushkar in Rajasthan on December 6, people in the know said. On December 7, Banerjee is likely to meet her party MPs in Delhi at the residence of senior party MP Saugata Roy, sources told ET.

Banerjee had recently told the media in the state assembly that she would be participating in the meeting as the chairperson of the Trinamool Congress. Modi is likely to discuss and finalise the strategies for the G20 summit, which India will host in September 2023. Modi has called a meeting of all state chief ministers to go over the preparations.
