Mamata Banerjee 'disappointed' with Singur case

West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday admitted that Singur is a case of great dissatisfaction to her.

KOLKATA: West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday admitted that Singur is a case of great dissatisfaction to her. “We had promised to return 400 acres to Singur farmers. We had enacted the Singur Land Bill and acquired the entire 997 acres that was taken (for the Nano project). But we have not been able to return the land because of legal cases,” she said.
