The two leaders addressed a joint press conference here in the presence of several of their party MPs, including Derek O'Brien and Dola Sen. "I challenge the Election Commission to prove us wrong by putting the complete records in public domain and allowing independent examination of the process," he said.
Mamata also targeted chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, calling him "Vanish Kumar", questioning the statutory immunity provided to the CEC and election commissioners under the 2023 law. She alleged that the special intensive revision (SIR) had disproportionately affected constituencies won by her party.
