Kharge downplays Tharoor’s praise for PM Modi, says English too complex
The political corridors buzzed on Wednesday as Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge sidestepped questions about party MP Shashi Tharoor's praise for Operation Sindoor and PM Modi's leadership.

At a conference, Kharge deflected by saying Tharoor's "very good" English was too complex for him to interpret-adding that this was why the Thiruvananthapuram MP was made a CWC member. Kharge quipped, "If some people say Modi first and then the nation, what can we say?"

Soon after, Tharoor, currently in Moscow, posted a photo of an edgy bird perched at the edge of a branch with the caption: "Don't ask permission to fly. The wings are yours. And the sky belongs to no one." Some interpreting it as a sign of frustration with constraints.
