Malik's detention: Protests continue

Srinagar: Situation in Doda and some parts of Jammu remained tense on Wednesday as protests in favor of detained AAP MLA Mehraj Malik continued even as the administration imposed restriction in Doda and Bhaderwah.

AAP MP Sanjay Singh, who arrived in Jammu to strategise the next steps of protests, termed Malik's detention as "illegal" and "unconstitutional." He accused the authorities of political victimisation by 'misusing a law intended for terrorists against an elected representative' Malik was detained on Monday under PSA a day after his critique of Doda DM Harvinder Singh.
