NEW DELHI: The capital's power woes continued on Sunday with major parts of the city facing regular loadshedding due to under-frequency in the northern grid.

The under-frequency in the grid was due to overdrawing by the neighbouring states specially Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, official sources said.

The capital experienced at least 19 rounds of loadshedding during the day, they said.

The maximum demand during the day was 2,887 MW which was less than yesterday on account of offices being closed for the weekend.

The demand yesterday was 3,094 MW.
