Majestic Himalayan range now visible from Saharanpur

While the coronavirus pandemic has brought the world to a standstill, there has been a severe drop in pollution levels in the country as well. This has made people view nature and our environment in a different light.

People recently saw the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayan mountain range from the city of Saharanpur in UP. Even though there is an aerial difference of about 200 odd kilometres, the peaks could be seen clearly.

The pictures of such scenic beauty were taken and shared by Indian Forest Service officer Ramesh Pandey, who attributed the view to fallen pollution levels, and recent rains.

In April this year, residents of Jalandhar city in Punjab, got a surprise when they witnessed Dhauladhar Mountain range for the first time in a decade.

Along with falling pollution levels, there have been sightings of vulnerable species, and reports of crystal clear rivers have also emerged over the world.
