Mahindra & Mahindra offers solar lights, vehicles to Uttarakhand

DEHRADUN: Automobile giant Mahindra & Mahindra today offered to provide vehicles and solar lights for convenience of people in flash flood-affected areas of Uttarakhand.

The offer was made by the company's corporate social responsibility chief Sheetal Mehta when she met Chief Secretary Subhash Kumar here.

She said the company wants to spend the funds raised through contribution of one day's pay of its employees towards rehabilitation work in Uttarakhand.

The funds will be spent over providing Bolero jeeps, Scorpio cars, small vans, trucks, ambulances, solar lights and solar lanterns for every district, she said.
