Mahatma Gandhi remembered

PUDUCHERRY: Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy today paid homage at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation.

Speaker V Sabapathy, Ministers, legislators, officials and freedom fighters were among those who paid floral tributes at the statue.

Patriotic songs dearest to the Mahatma were also presented by a team of teachers of Puducherry government run Bharathiar Palkalaikoodam. Two minutes silence was observed at the statue by all those present starting at 11 am.

PCC president A V Subramanian accompanied by Leader of the Opposition V Vaithilingam, office bearers of the PCC and legislators of the party paid floral tributes at the portrait of the Mahatma Gandhi on the premises of the PCC office.
