MahaRERA dismisses complaint of singer Jagjit Singh’s wife
The regulator has dismissed the complaint citing the matter is of civil nature and does not involve any contravention or violation of any provision of RERA Act, 2016

Singh and her grandson had paid money in lieu of two flats. According to the complaint, they had booked two flats in builder Sai Siddhi Developers’ Goegaon project in 2013. In 2015, they cancelled the booking after realizing the developer had permissions only till eight floor, while their booked flats were on 10th floor.
After seeking refund from the builder upon cancellation of the booking, the developer gave them cheques in 2016, which were dishonoured. After this, Singh had approached the regulator last month seeking directions for refund of money with interest. Ends
