Maharashtra unlock: Lockdown-like restrictions to be lifted from June 4 in districts with 5% or less positivity rate

With the daily count of COVID-19 cases witnessing a declining trend, the Maharashtra government on Thursday announced a 5-level unlock plan to ease the restrictions. The lockdown-like restrictions will be lifted from June 4 in 18 out of 36 Maharashtra districts, as per the new order. The curbs would be lifted in the districts where the COVID positivity rate is 5 per cent or less and the occupancy of oxygen beds in hospitals is less than 25 per cent.
