Maharashtra seeks NCB probe into Vivek Oberoi’s role in drugs case

​​ The state government said if the NCB doesnt take up the case, the Mumbai Police will investigate the two for drug links

Mumbai: In a tit-for-tat move, the Maharashtra government on Friday said it wants the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to probe Vivek Oberoi and filmmaker Sandip Singh in a drugs case.

The state government said if the NCB doesnt take up the case, the Mumbai Police will investigate the two for drug links.

Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh on Friday said, “The Bengaluru police is coming here to probe the drug connection of Vivek Oberoi and Sandip Singh. However, the NCB is not taking up the case. If it doesn’t, the Mumbai police would investigate the case after (waiting for) four to five days.”


Vivek had played the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a biopicwhich was co-produced by Sandip Singh.
