Maharashtra Polls: Shiv Sena attacks top rung of BJP, Congress and NCP
MUMBAI: A day before Maharashtra goes to the polls the Shiv Sena turned soothsayer by not just predicting that it would come to power in the Maharashtra assembly polls on its own but also claiming that the entire top rung leadership of the Congress, NCP and the BJP would be disqualified by the Election Commission.

Shiv Sena leader Diwakar Raote on Tuesday addressed a press conference where in he claimed that the party would easily come to power by getting a majority.

"We would come to power on our won and the main opposition party would be the BJP,"said Raote, who added that the Congress and NCP would perform poorly in the polls.

Raote also predicted that former Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan would lose from Karad, BJP leaders Eknath Khadse contesting in Muktai Nagar in Jalgaon and Vinod Tawde who is fighting from Borivali would also lose.

Raote also simultaneously announced that Chavan, NCP leaders Ajit Pawar, RR Patil, and BJP leaders, Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Khadse, Vinod Tawde, Ashish Shelar would be disqualified by the Election Commission as they have exceeded their campaign expenses.

Raote's alleged that the Congress, NCP and BJP had put up the above mentioned leaders pictures in posters, hoardings and advertisements throughout the state. "Since they are candidates and their pictures have been carried in their party campaigns, the cost for these campaigns should also be included in the names of these individual leaders, if it happens then they would get disqualified as they would over shoot the limit of Rs 27 lakh set by the EC as campaign expenditure." said the Sena leader.
