MUMBAI: The BJP is misleading people on the issue of imported red wheat, Maharashtra Minister for Food and Civil Supplies Sunil Tatkare on Saturday said.
"The BJP is trying to defame the government by collecting samples of substandard wheat from elsewhere and showing it as if it was collected from the public distribution shops in Pune district," the minister said.
He said most of the red imported wheat were good and fit for consumption and that the government has not received any major complaints from the people regarding its quality.
