Maharashtra govt orders SIT probe into 'dance party' of dawood aide with Uddhav faction leader

The Maharashtra government has announced that it would order an SIT inquiry into a 'party' of a Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray (UBT) sena leader with Salim Mira Shaikh alias Salim Kutta a 1993 serial bomb blast convict and an aide of underworld gangster Dawood Ibrahim.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that the issue was serious and a probe would be ordered into the links of Nashik UBT Sena Sudhakar Badgujar and Salim Kutta.

" This is very serious issue, we have a bomb blast convict and a close aide of the enemy of the country Dawood Ibrahim, he (Badgujar) was partying with him. We will check what is the connection of the latter with Kutta. I want to assure that on the basis of SIT a probe would be intiated and it would be completed in a time bound manner," announced Fadnavis in the state assembly.


He was responding to the issue raised by BJP MLA Nitiesh Rane who alleged that Salim Kutta had partied with Badgujar. "I have photographs and even videos of the party, which i have submitted to the speaker. The party was held on the last day of Kutta's parole. This needs to be investigated."said Rane.

He was supported by the BJP's Ashish Shelar as well as the Dada Bhuse of the Shiv Sena. " This Badgujar is a small fry the probe should look into the aspect of who else is involved in backing him."said Bhuse. Salim Kutta was charged with helping land arms and explosives at Raigad, which were used to trigger the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts. Kutta was convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment in the case.
