MUMBAI: The agitation over farm loan waiver in the state has taken a turn for the worse as 7 farmers have ended their lives in the last couple of days

In a related development on Thursday, independent MLA Bachu Kadu threatened that if farm loans were not waived, they would not hesitate to bomb the house of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He made this statement during a TV news programme.

“We would not hesitate to become like Bhagat Singh and bomb the house of Fadnavis,“ he said.

Kadu is a member of the 21-member steering committee of the various groups and political leaders formed to pressurise the state government on the loan waiver issue. Kadu is a controversial independent MLA from Achalpur constituency.

It has come to light that one of the farmers who killed himself --Dhanaji Jadhav--on Wednesday night wrote in his suicide note to his friends and family that he should not be cremated till Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis visited his village--Vit-in Solapur.

Irate members of his village resorted to a rasta roko agitation today . CM has now announced a Rs 1-lakh aid to the family. He has also requested the villagers to stop their agitation.
