Maharashtra CM Prithviraj Chavan enters Mumbai Cricket Association, fight with Sharad Pawar next?
Prithviraj Chavan may enter the world of cricket politics to take on former ICC and BCCI president Sharad Pawar.

ET has exclusive access to a letter written by Mazgaon Cricket Association to the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), which says that Chavan should be registered as the representative of Mazgaon Association, allowing him to take a crack at the MCA president’s post. While Chavan was not available for comment on the MCA elections, his close aide said, “Nothing can be ruled out at this stage. No final decision has been taken on the MCA matter.”
“We have prepared the grounds for Chavan to enter the MCA. He has signed the letter of Mazgaon Cricket Association and we have conveyed to the MCA that Chavan will be our association's representative on MCA, which they have accepted,” said Shahalam Shaikh, secretary of Mazgaon Cricket Association.
