Fadnavis' announcement came hours after the swearing-in ceremony of the Maharashtra Cabinet Ministers concluded in Nagpur.
"Portfolio allocation to Maharashtra ministers in next two days, said CM Devendra Fadnavis to reporters at Nagpur.
Maharashtra’s newly-formed government expanded its Cabinet with key leaders taking the oath of office.

Among those sworn in were BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule, BJP leaders Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil and Chandrakant Patil, along with Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Hasan Mushrif.This expansion follows the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance's victory in the 2024 assembly elections and is seen as a crucial step in solidifying the coalition's governance framework.
Earlier in the day, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis paid floral tributes to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar in Nagpur, honouring the architect of the Indian Constitution.
Following the tribute, Fadnavis participated in a roadshow, his first public engagement since the election results. Accompanied by his wife, Amruta Fadnavis, and BJP state president Bawankule, the roadshow attracted large, enthusiastic crowds. Amruta Fadnavis told ANI, “It feels extremely delightful to see the love of people. The responsibility has increased, and we have to shoulder it.”
Deputy Chief Minister and NCP leader Ajit Pawar also arrived in Nagpur ahead of the Cabinet meeting.
