Mumbai: The issue of reservation for Marathas by recognising them as Kunbis is causing friction within the Maharashtra government, with NCP minister Chhagan Bhujbal opposing the move claiming that the inclusion of Marathas would dilute the OBC quota in the state.

Bhujbal on Tuesday convened a meeting of OBC leaders in the state to oppose the move. The OBC community is now getting ready to hit the streets under Bhujbal's leadership and challenge the Shinde government's decision to conduct a survey of the Maratha community.
