MUMBAI : Maharashtra cabinet on Thursday approved a proposal to sanction Rs 11.20 crore to flood-hit Bihar. On August 30, Chief Minsiter Vilasrao Deshmukh had announced that the state government would contribute Rs 10 crore for the flood-ravaged region.
Relief material like 10 tonne milk powder, 9000 bedsheets and blankets and 1500 tarapaulin sheets are being dispatched for the millions of people displaced by Kosi river in northern Bihar, an official release said.
