Madras High Court withdraws work from Justice CS Karnan

NEW DELHI: The Madras High Court Chief Justice has withdrawn all administrative and judicial work from Justice CS Karnan, who earlier stayed the Supreme Court order transferring him to Calcutta High Court.

Sources said all work has been withdrawn from Justice Karnan. Karnan caused the top court much embarrassment when he stayed the transfer order prompting the court to stay his order.

None of his orders will now be given effect to, virtually forcing him to fall in line and join in Calcutta High Court or face more stringent action which could end with his impeachment from office.
