Madhya Pradesh sees 10 deaths in a day, toll up to 120
The total number of positive cases in Madhya Pradesh rose by 222 - of which 165 new cases were from Indore - to reach 2387.

Indore, the worst coronavirus-affected district in Madhya Pradesh, alone accounted for 63 deaths, while Ujjain emerged as the second biggest hotspot with 20 deaths, followed by state capital Bhopal with 13.
Officials in the state government said the death toll was rising as the number of critically ill patients in the state remains high. During the day, 53 patients were reported to be in a serious condition, which included 43 in Indore and five in Ujjain.
The total number of positive cases in the state rose by 222 - of which 165 new cases were from Indore - to reach 2387.
Ujjain meanwhile has reported a very high fatality rate of over 16 per cent, as 20 out of a total 123 total patients have died while only five have recovered so far.. Indore showed a 4.5 per cent fatality rate with 134 out of a total 1372 positive patients having recovered so far.
Madhya Pradesh has so far reported the third-highest death toll among the states, behind Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Earlier this month, the state government decided that all residents of Indore, numbering about 26 lakh, will be screened for symptoms of coronavirus. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has posted three officers in Indore to help in community surveillance, contact tracing and developing the containment and buffer zones.
