Madhya Pradesh okays 83 investment proposals
Madhya Pradesh government has cleared 83 investment proposals and has granted concessional package to 60 units worth investment of Rs 12,453 crore.
BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh government has cleared 83 investment proposals and has granted concessional package to 60 units worth investment of Rs 12,453 crore.
The apex committee headed by Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has approved these proposals, an official release today said adding the committee had received a total of 133 investment proposals since 2004.
A total of 55 projects with the investment of Rs 30,047 crore were under implementation in the state including 47 industrial projects (Rs 28,817 crore), four projects relating to infrastructure (Rs 926 crore) and two service projects (Rs 30 crore).
Besides, the state government has signed 27 MOUs out of which 10 have started functioning and 11 were in the process of execution.
The state government, in the last three years have been campaigning, both at national and international level with regard to investments in various sectors. It has successful contacts in this regard with FICCI, CII, PHD, leading industrial houses from United States, United Kingdom, Singapore, Malayasia, Italy etc.
Similarily, Prozone Liberty International, an Indo-Uk joint adventure, is develping Rs 1,000 crore commercial infrastructure, hotel and entertainment zone and shopping mall.
