Madhya Pradesh Assembly pays tributes to Gopinath Munde, others; house adjourned
After paying the tributes to Gopinath Munde, S Mallikarjunaiah and Khushwant Singh, the House was adjourned for the day.

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Assembly today paid tributes to leaders and eminent persons who recently died including former Union Minister Gopinath Munde, former Lok Sabha Deputy Speaker S Mallikarjunaiah and noted author Khushwant Singh.
After paying the tributes, the House was adjourned for the day.
Soon after the House assembled on the opening day of the monsoon session, Speaker Dr Sita Sharan Sharma mentioned the passing away of senior BJP leader Munde, veteran leader Mallikarjunaiah, Khushwant Singh, sitting MLA Prabhat Pandey, former Deputy Speaker of MP Assembly Narayan Prasad Shukla, former Union Minister Tapan Sikdar and former state minister B R Yadav.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan described Munde as a mass leader whose death was a loss not only for Maharashtra, but to the entire nation.
Chouhan also condoled the death of Sikdar, Yadav and Khushwant Singh.
Leader of Opposition Satyadev Katare also lauded the services rendered by Munde and others.
Following this, the members stood in silence for two minutes in memory of the departed souls and later the House was adjourned till tomorrow morning.
