Machilipatnam's toll free number to begin functioning soon

MACHILIPATNAM: Minister for Excise and Backward Caste Welfare K Ravindra said here today that a new toll free number would be introduced for the Machilipatnam constituency so that people's problems could be heard.

He said that a toll-free number 1800-212-2254 has been allotted, which would begin functioning within a week.

Minister told reporters today that Telugu Desam Party (TDP) candidate Tangirala Sowmya would win by a record majority of votes in the Nandigama constituency by-election.

He said that the Congress is contesting the poll only to criticise the TDP government and appealed to voters of the Nanidgama constituency to vote for the TDP candidate.

He said that Vijayawada deserves to be the capital of Andhra Pradesha and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu had taken the right decision.

He said that that NTR Sujala Sravanthi Scheme would be launched on October 2, under which every household would get 20 litres of water for Rs 2.
