LS polls 2014: BJP’s stars won’t campaign in Delhi
NEW DELHI: This time, BJP's election campaign in Delhi will be sans star campaigners as most of them, say party sources, are either contesting elections or have not confirmed their schedule. Though a list of 43 star campaigners was prepared, only six-seven senior leaders will be campaigning in the last few days.

Initially, BJP leaders like Smriti Irani, Vani Tripathi, Varun Gandhi, Navjot Singh Sidhu and Vinod Khanna were to campaign in the city. However, not even Delhi election in-charge Nitin Gadkari would be campaigning here.

With just 10 days left for polling, party is banking on its top leaders and ally SAD (Badal). On April 7, BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi will address a grand rally at Ramlila Maidan. Punjab CM Sukbir Singh Badal will hold two rallies on April 5 in West Delhi. Likewise, L K Advani will address a rally in Kirari on April 6, while BJP chief Rajnath Singh will hold a public meeting on April 5. "Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj have already campaigned in the city. Now, other senior leaders will hold rallies," said V K Malhotra, in-charge of election campaign committee, Delhi BJP.

Meanwhile, the party has started second round of door-to-door campaigning.
