NEW DELHI: LPG dealers have contributed Rs 17.68 lakh for the relief and rehabilitation work in the flood-ravaged Uttarakhand.

All India LPG Distributors Federation (AILDF) presented a cheque of Rs 17.68 lakh towards Prime Ministe's National Relief Fund to Oil Minister M Veerappa Moily, an official statement said.

"The AILDF described this as the first installment for Uttarakhand flood relief and rehabilitation work," it said.

AILDF representatives informed the Minister that they have always at the forefront at the time of national calamity by maintaining fuel supply lines as well as contributing funds for relief.
