Lokayukta police given time till Oct 4 to submit report

V Datta had complained of financial irregularities by Yeddyurappa in awarding an irrigation project contract to a pvt firm.

BANGALORE: The Lokayukta Special court today granted time till October 4 to Lokayukta police to complete investigation and submit a report on JDS leader Y S V Datta's complaint, alleging financial irregularities by former Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa in awarding an irrigation project contract to a private firm.

The judge N K Sudhindra Rao adjourned the hearing to October four.

JDS spokesman Datta had filed the complaint on July 27 alleging that firms owned by Yeddyurappa's sons and son-in-law had received Rs 13 crore from a firm which was awarded the second stage Upper Bhadra project.
