Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan invites Sonia Gandhi to fulfil grandkid's wish

NEW DELHI: Congress chief Sonia Gandhi met Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan recently in an interaction not disclosed yet.

The meeting was arranged at the instance of the Speaker.

Sources said the grand-daughter of Mahajan had expressed a desire to meet Priyanka Gandhi, daughter of Sonia Gandhi. It led Mahajan to convey the request to the Congress chief.

The rare bonhomie saw the Gandhis and Mahajan exchange pleasantries in a friendly atmosphere.
